Who we are
Ball by Ball ("the app", "we") is a cricket scoring and tournament management app operated by Oneiros Edge Tech. This policy explains what information the app collects, how it is used, and the choices you have. For questions, contact us at prakash@oneirosedgetech.com.
Information we collect
- Account information — your name, email address and/or phone number when you create an account or sign in.
- Contacts (optional) — if you choose to add players from your phone's contact list, the app requests contacts permission and uploads only the names and phone numbers of the contacts you select, to create player profiles. We never read or upload your full contact list in the background.
- Match and tournament data — scores, teams, player statistics and related content you create while using the app. Match data is visible to other participants and followers of those matches and tournaments.
- Device and usage data — push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging), device type, and app diagnostics.
- Advertising identifiers — the app shows ads via Google AdMob, which may collect your device's advertising ID as described in Google's own policies.
How we use information
- To provide the app's features: scoring, tournaments, leaderboards, live match following and notifications.
- To send transactional messages such as sign-in codes and match notifications.
- To show advertising that keeps the app free (Google AdMob).
- To maintain, secure and improve the service.
We do not sell your personal information.
Third-party services
The app relies on the following processors, each governed by its own privacy policy:
- Google Firebase — authentication and push notifications.
- Google AdMob — in-app advertising (how Google uses ad data).
- Twilio SendGrid — delivery of transactional emails.
Data retention and deletion
Your account data is kept while your account is active. You can delete your account at any time from My Profile → Delete Account in the app, or by submitting a request on our account deletion page. On deletion, your personal information is removed; scores and statistics that form part of other users' completed matches may be retained with your personal identifiers removed, as they are also a record of those users' games.
Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted connections (HTTPS/TLS) and stored on access-controlled infrastructure.
Children
The app is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has provided us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Changes to this policy
If we make material changes we will update this page and the effective date above.
